Saraja Inkibi Cannonau

Saraja, a project established in the Gallura region of northern Sardinia, is one of the island’s most exciting new producers.

The winery overlooking the sea, is due to be completed in 2023 and will house the latest technology and winemaking facilities. Until then, the first few vintages have been vinified and bottled in Calangianus, around 10 km from the estate, and what vintages they have been!

100% Cannonau (Grenache), grapes are sourced from relatively low-lying vineyards in the Romangia area, where it’s a little warmer. Perfumed with bright redcurrant and cranberry aromas, there’s an earthiness rumbling below. Juicy red berries and fleshy forest fruits, the palate finely balances gentle tannins with fresh acidity and a bitter cherry twist.
