Rioja (Re)discovery

In recent years, the Rioja Consejio Regulador (wine commission of Rioja) announced a brand new classification system which has thrown one of the oldest and most established standards into a new era.

The new system moves Rioja wines away from oak-aging as the primary indication of quality, and instead, wineries are encouraged to champion regional microclimates and singular vineyard sites. A positive change, we believe.

At this seated tasting upstairs in The Wine Library, we’ll be tasting old vs new, embracing this Rioja (re)discovery.

We make a seating plan for events that are held in The Wine Library. We have both high and low seating options, some more comfy than others, so please inform us if you have any special requirements. Likewise, do tell us if you wish to be sat with someone who has booked separately, we often just have to guess!  

Tickets to our tastings are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, do get in touch as we often keep a cancellations list for those who missed out on tickets. If that’s not the case, we’ll always try and help re-sell them through social media (no guarantees). Alternatively, feel free to pass them to friends or family – we only need the name of the person who booked for entry on the night.
