Pormenor Branco
A low intervention Portuguese white blend. Fresh, fruity and great quality.
A wine created using ancient grape varieties, grown in high altitude vineyards in the village of Pombal, within the Northern Tua Valley.
Pormenor was set up by three friends who all had family that worked in the production of oak barrels and corks, working within wine was inevitably going to happen. Their aim was to create elegant wines, paying attention to the finer details (Pormenor translates to detail). While they are not technically classed as a natural wine producer, they do make their wines with very little intervention.
A blend of Rabigato, Malvasia Fina, Codega do Larinho, Arinto and Gouveio, it has been fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel, with a small proportion in French oak. No malolactic, no battonage, lots of minerality. Pormenor Branco has a fresh and fruity profile, citrus and pineapple, rounded with saline notes.
