Meandro do Vale Meao Tinto

A benchmark Douro red, Vale Meao's wines have a great balance of finesse and boldness.

Quality was the focus for this wine, vinified in stainless steel, then matured in two and three-year-old French oak barrels. This softens the structural nature of grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, but preserves the fresh fruit characteristics.

Meandro is deep red, displaying a wonderful concentration; it opens on the nose with elegant florals and prominent red fruit notes. On the palate the wine is ripe with finely integrated tannins. A perfect choice for anyone who loves a punchy red, or those who need an introduction to Portuguese wines.
