Mas Martinet Menut Priorat

Incredible concentration for its price.

The intense aromatics beckon scents of black pepper, wild spices, plum and lavender, with a backdrop of blueberry and cinnamon. In the mouth, lush front flavours of blueberry and mountain fruit lie adrift on a bed of silky tannin.

Mas Martinet Menut Priorat is a blend of organically farmed Grenache (40%), Carignan (20%), Syrah (30%) and Merlot (10%), fermented in concrete tanks over 30–40 days and then aged 14-18 months in either older oak barrels or much larger wooden foudres.

Mas Martinet is a family-owned winery founded in 1986 by Josep Lluís Pérez and his wife Sara Pérez. The winery is in the village of Gratallops, in the heart of the Priorat wine region. The winery works with a culture based on balance, sustainability and harmony with nature. Committed to tradition, the environment and people. They work the vines organically, being as respectful as possible with all processes.
