Ktima Gerovassiliou Estate Malagousia

Greek rarity, musky and exotic.

Winemaker Vangelis Gerovassiliou may well be the father of Greek winemaking. After studying at Thessaloniki and Bordeaux, working at the latter with the esteemed Emile Peynaud, Vangelis returned home to work his family's vineyards at Epanomi. During this time, he also happened upon the long-since-forgotten native grape Malagousia, nursed it back to strength and helped spread it across northern Greece and beyond. This wine is the result of this quest. Musky, exotic and spiced, its wines are complex and delicious.
