Domaine du Roc des Boutires Pouilly-Fuisse
Rich and elegant Pouilly-Fuissé. Boasting a full and complex profile, perfect for Chardonnay lovers.
Domaine du Roc des Boutires is in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. The richness of the estate lies in its parcels: Fourteen different terroirs are spread over the 4.2 hectares of the estate, all located on the Pouilly hillside. The Chardonnay vines flourish due to the care and focus the winery has for the vineyard environment. The soils are worked, and all the grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification follows the parcel-by-parcel approach chosen by Brice Laffond and the Parinet family.
This wine is the flagship of the range, coming from low yield vines at the heart of the region. The wine has been cold fermented and undergone malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged on fine lees for twelve months, eighty-five percent of which has been done in stainless steel and the other fifteen percent in new oak to add a bit of complexity and softness to the final product.
Displaying an attractive bouquet of aromas, this Chardonnay is medium bodied on the palate. Fleshy and full of concentrated flavours of citrus, pear and almond all backed up by a ripe acidity. Golden in colour, rich and elegant.
