Domaine de la Bretonnire Muscadet sur lie Cuvee Prestige

An amazing Muscadet sur lie. Briming with fresh, fruity qualities and a delicious mouth feel.

Located on the banks of the Sèvre, on plots very different from each other, the Domaine de la Bretonnière vineyard has inherited diversified terroirs. The typicality of these different terroirs gives the wines a richness and complexity.

Since its creation, the estate has constantly evolved, diversified and adopted different working and winemaking methods. It has grown over the years to reach an area of about 46 hectares in the communes of Maisdon sur Sèvre, Saint Lumine de Clisson and Saint Fiacre sur Maine. Firmly convinced that a good wine comes first and foremost from meticulous work on each vine, the winemakers attach a real importance to the maintenance and renewal of the vineyard. In addition, the smallest detail can improve the sensory qualities of a wine. This is why numerous and regular visits to the plot are carried out as well as various tastings in the press, in the vat and in the bottle.

Additionally, to ensure the longevity of the plot, the vines are renewed every year, taking care to maintain a fair balance between the young vines, for the freshness they bring, and the older ones, for their roundness. The diversity of the vineyard therefore makes it possible to vinify wines that will each have their own particularity and personality.

For each vintage, they carry out different processes on certain cuvées to highlight, bring out or attenuate aromas and perfumes. The grapes used in this wine were harvested at full maturity to give it a deeply expressive palate. Overflowing with that classical crisp zesty quality that Muscadet displays, the wine opens to a lovely ripe peach and lemon quality. On the palate there is an elegant and subtle weight, from the sur lie aging, that makes it a truly indulgent white wine.
