Domaine Christian Bellang Meursault

Classic buttery Meursault.

Domaine Christian Bellang Meursault is a luxurious, buttery classic of the Mersault appellation, made from Chardonnay.

Domaine Christian Bellang is a family estate of several generations, dating back to 1789. The estate’s vineyards, although initially in Meursault have since expanded into Savigny lès Beaune, Chorey lès Beaune and Beaune and encompass an area of 9 hectares.  The vines are some 30 years old on average. In 1974 Christian, the current winemaker, took over his parents’ estate, with his son Christophe joining him in 1995.

This Meursault is vinified in oak, of which 20-25% is new oak and then aged for between 10-18 months, depending on the year. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in barrel.

As a result, it is loaded with aromas and flavours of toasty brioche, vanilla and ripe stone fruit, leading to a long, elegantly refreshing finish. It’s fruit-forward and perfect for young drinking, but with excellent aging potential too.

Domaine Christian Bellang Meursault is a serious food wine which pairs perfectly with creamy sauces.
