Ciu Ciu Falerio Oris

Organic white blend. Fruity, floral and fresh.

Established in 1970 in Contrada Ciafone, Ciu Ciu’s organic vineyards lie among the rolling hills of Le Marche's Offida region. Close proximity to the Adriatic Sea, combined with 300m of altitude, ensures exceptional growing conditions, and this really comes through in the quality of the wine.

Falerio ‘Oris’ Bianco is a blend of three native grapes - Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina. Bone dry, though not too wild on the acidity, it has soft floral aromas with flavours of crisp apple, pear and lychee. The finish is fresh with a little honeysuckle. All-in-all, a cracking wine.

And yes, the name is how it sounds, Choo Choo! It's a nod to the family’s great-grandfather who worked for the local railway company for many years. In such a beautifully remote area of Italy, the railway was very important to the winery and its local community, so they wanted to pay tribute to it in this way.
