Like the namesake schools he inspired, Rudolf Steiner sought to address the world through spiritual science and his theories led to what we now know as Biodynamic Agriculture. In winemaking, the methods of treating the vineyard as one entity, shunning chemicals for home-made preparations and observing the movements of the planets, have slowly spread, leading to major French producer Michel Chapoutier adopting the practice in 1991, becoming an early influence to the Natural wine movement of the last decade
