La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of Rioja’s most revered and
historic houses, founded in 1890 in Haro by five families including the Aranas, Ardanzas and Alberdis — with the Viña Alberdi brand named in honour of one of those founding families.

The estate owns around 360 hectares of vineyards, unusual
for Rioja producers, and works mostly with Tempranillo alongside small plantings of Garnacha and Graciano.

Rioja DOCa is Spain’s most prestigious wine region, with a
continental climate tempered by Atlantic influence and a strong tradition of barrel ageing that defines styles such as Reserva and Gran Reserva.

The bodega produces benchmark wines such as Viña Alberdi, Viña Ardanza, Viña Arana and its Gran Reserva 904 and 890, all known for elegance, ageing potential and classic Rioja character.
