Rioja is the famed Spanish wine region located in the north of the Iberian Peninsula, celebrated for its high-quality, age-worthy red wines, particularly those made from the Tempranillo grape. The region is divided into three subzones: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental, each offering distinct terroirs.
