Gosset is largely considered to be one of the oldest wine houses in the Champagne region — founded in 1584 in the village of Aÿ by Pierre Gosset. Over more than four centuries and 16 generations, the house has built a reputation for elegance, finesse and a distinctive champagne style rooted in terroir, tradition and careful craftsmanship.

Gosset sources grapes — primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with some Pinot Meunier — from premier and grand cru vineyards across Champagne, favouring plots that promise depth, freshness and expressive fruit.

Beyond the cellar, Gosset maintains its heritage and tradition: the house remains independent (since acquisition by the Renaud‑Cointreau family in 1993) and continues to respect its long-standing values of terroir, terroir-driven blending and restrained winemaking — producing around a million bottles a year.

The Champagne wine region, located in northeastern France, is the only place in the world legally permitted to produce wine labelled as Champagne.
