Sherry Tasting
Join us for our 2025 Sherry celebration!
Not quite in International Sherry Week, but close enough, we celebrate with the Sherry wines of Equipo Navazos and Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola.
Equipo Navazos was born out of a group of friends’ desire to unearth some of the many treasures lying forgotten in the bodgas of Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Montilla. Bottling these high quality, often very rare Sherries, the group quickly garnered buzz among Sherry connoisseurs who were floored by the intensity and complexity of the wines. Over the years, the group’s reach and production have grown, but quantities of each release top out at just a few thousand bottles—and often just a few hundred. These really are some of the most stunningly complex, layered, and distinctive wines on the planet.
To follow, we believe the very best producer of Pedro Ximénez; Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola. There are not many wineries that have built their success by focusing on just one grape variety, let alone one that has been almost permanently out of fashion, but that is precisely what Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola have done since 1729. They produce a selection of fascinating dry wines, dessert wines and sherries that bring all of their 300 years of experience to bear.
Whether a seasoned Sherry expert, a recent convert, or anything else in between, join us for our 2025 Sherry celebration!
We make a seating plan for events that are held in The Wine Library. We have both high and low seating options, some more comfy than others, so please inform us if you have any special requirements. Likewise, do tell us if you wish to be sat with someone who has booked separately, we often just have to guess!
Tickets to our tastings are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, do get in touch as we often keep a cancellations list for those who missed out on tickets. If that’s not the case, we’ll always try and help re-sell them through social media (no guarantees). Alternatively, feel free to pass them to friends or family – we only need the name of the person who booked for entry on the night.
