La Rioja Alta & Áster

Founded in 1890, La Rioja Alta is one of this great Spanish region’s icons. Celebrated for the bodega’s twin Gran Reservas (890 and 904) and trio of Reservas, these are long-lived and traditionally-styled Riojas that remain at the pinnacle of the region’s production. Phenomenally age-worthy, and astonishing value, these are Riojas fit to grace any cellar.

Bodegas Áster is La Rioja Alta`s Ribera del Duero outpost located in the village of Anguix, Burgos. Founded in 1989, Bodegas Aster refused to compromise the quality of their wines, and it wasn`t until the year 2000 that they released their first vintage. Today Bodegas Aster is one of the most innovative wineries in the region with modern facilities that produces world class wines while preserving traditional winemaking techniques.

Join us for this seated tasting in The Wine Library, where we'll be tasting a special selection of wines from La Rioja Alta plus a couple from Áster. 

We make a seating plan for events that are held in The Wine Library. We have both high and low seating options, some more comfy than others, so please inform us if you have any special requirements. Likewise, do tell us if you wish to be sat with someone who has booked separately, we often just have to guess!  

Tickets to our tastings are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, do get in touch as we often keep a cancellations list for those who missed out on tickets. If that’s not the case, we’ll always try and help re-sell them through social media (no guarantees). Alternatively, feel free to pass them to friends or family – we only need the name of the person who booked for entry on the night.
