Pieropan Soave Classico

Classy white from one of Italy's most famous names.

Pioneers of the Soave region of Piedmont, the Pieropan family's vines cover 58 hectares of stony, occasionally volcanic soils, using their fruit to make some of Italy's best white wines.

Made from 100% Garganega, the Soave Classico is pale-straw coloured, offering aromas of white flowers, honey, and ripe peach. On the palate, it is fresh and crisp with a mineral tang that's beautifully balanced by rich fruit flavours.

The grapes for this wine are hand-picked, destemmed and crushed in a protective environment. Free run juice is fermented at low temperatures (between 14-18°C) in glass-lined cement tanks. The wine remains in glass-lined cement tanks on the fine lees for a period which varies according to the vintage, usually about 5-9 months.

The Good fruit concentration, balanced by a zesty acidity enhances its long finish. It makes for a great food pairing when had with small starts or seafood dishes.
