Domaine Alexandre Petit Chablis
Refreshing on the palate with an explosion of orchard and citrus fruits.
Mineral driven, with a concentrated palate brimming with peach, citrus and tropical notes. Made by a 3rd generation winemaker in the heart of the Chablis region. A meticulous approach is taken when selecting the grapes that go into the Petit Chablis to ensure the highest quality wine.
Drink young to enjoy this wine’s vivacity and delicacy. Best served at 10-12 degrees in the first 2 to 3 years after bottling. A fine accompaniment to seafood.
Domaine Alexandre is a family business handed down over three generations. Brothers Guy and Olivier run the estate today, which is set over 13 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Chablis. The vineyards are worked with great care and yields are kept low to produce expressive wines with concentrated fruit. For the winemaking, Chardonnay grapes are harvested mechanically before being pressed using a pneumatic press. The juice is racked over a period of 24—30 hours before being filtered and undergoing alcoholic fermentation in tank under controlled temperatures. A final clarification of the wine is carried out before maturation and then bottling on the estate before the end of July.
You can expect an explosion of lemon pith and lime zest alongside subtler saline and mineral notes.
