Woodchester Valley Bacchus
Sauvignon-esque Bacchus from vineyards near Stroud in Gloucestershire.
Bacchus is frequently compared to Sauvignon Blanc, with its green fruit and grassy aromas, and this does share some of that character. The grapes come from vineyards in nearby Stonehouse and at the winery in Woodchester, with some picked early for acidity and fresh green fruit, the rest at full ripeness for the grape's typical elderflower and lemon notes. Lovely with a summer tomato salad.
