Wonderful English Blanc de Blancs.

A top quality non-vintage Blanc de Blancs from one of the best producers in England. Fresher and a little easier going than the Vintage version of this wine, the non-vintage is fantastic value as an example of Chardonnay grown on the chalk soils of West Sussex.

Their NV wines are a composition of many vintages blended. The journey of this wine started in 2009 where they reserved a small amount of wine. Each year that they harvest grapes and make wine, they build up their reserve wines. This allows them to create a style consistent year on year and show a piece of Wiston history in every glass. This current iteration is made up of 80% of wine from 2018.

The Blanc de Blancs is a rich and intense wine. The nose is full of baked apricots, vanilla bean and lemon tart (from the glaze to the pastry)! The body is full – the extended lees ageing imparting a textured feel and a wonderfully fine mousse. There are notes of brioche, sweet green apple and a long, buttery finish.
