Summary of Tour

Vineyards of Hampshire are hosting their 8th annual Fizz Fest on Sunday 24th July, held in Black Chalk Winery’s stunning circle vineyard near Andover, and we've organised a coach to take us all there and back – no driving necessary!

Vineyards of Hampshire comprises of 10 wine estates - Black Chalk, Cottonworth, Danebury Vineyards, Exton Park, The Grange, Hambledon, Hattingley Valley, Jenkyn Place, Raimes and Louis Pommery England (Champagne’s first house to establish a vineyard in Hampshire and make English Sparkling Wine under their own brand!).

There will be over twenty different sparkling and still wines to taste on the day (included in the ticket price), with the option to purchase a variety of Hampshire wines, either by the glass or by bottle at the Fizz Shop and Fizz Bar.

A number of Hampshire food producers and street food traders will be on site for you to buy some lunch, and there’ll be live music for entertainment. Wine workshops and vineyard tours are available at an additional cost, though these need to be booked in advance via the VoH website (limited availability).

Date: Sunday 24th July 2022
Location: Black Chalk Vineyard, Wherewell, nr Andover.
Time: Coach departs from Tivoli Wines at 10:30am, please arrive at 10:15am. The festival runs 12-4:30pm, and we aim to arrive back in Cheltenham at around 6pm.

  • We advise that participants should be physically fit enough to be able to get on and off the coach unaided and be comfortable walking around the vineyard for the afternoon. We regret that we do not have wheelchair accessibility on our vehicle.
  • Hay bales will be dotted around for seating at the festival, but we recommend that you bring your own picnic blanket for comfort.
  • It may be an idea to bring cash as well as a credit/debit card for payments on the day.
  • We can guarantee the quality of the wines, but cannot guarantee the weather. Please keep an eye on the forecast and wear appropriate footwear - let's pray for sunshine!

Celebrating English Wine

Celebrating English Wine

It’s no secret that English Sparkling Wines can stand up to – and often beat – the likes of Champagne. In fact, some of the big Champagne houses are now buying plots of land in the UK for their own vineyards, which is certainly saying something! English still wines are now also gaining a reputation for their high quality – and rightfully so – being full of energy and vibrant acidity.

We’ve spent a lot of time visiting vineyards and winemakers around the country, getting excited about the wines they’re producing. So much so, that our range of English and Welsh wines at Tivoli Wines has grown from a handful of bottles to well over 100, not to mention launching Vine & Orchard Adventures, our sister wine tours brand.

Just because it’s English, that doesn’t mean we’ll add it to our range. We search for wines that demonstrate quality, uniqueness and value for money.
