Summary of Tour
Immerse yourself in a full-day gin tasting experience visiting two of the Cotswolds best spirits producers, The Oxford Artisan Distillery and Wood Brothers Distilling Co.
We’ll whisk you off to Oxfordshire in the morning, where we’ll go behind the scenes at The Oxford Artisan Distillery. From seed to still, we will learn how they produce their award-winning sustainable spirits, and we’ll also have a tutored tasting of their vodka, three craft gins and Oxford Rye Spirit.
We will then head deep into the Cotswolds for a pub lunch and, if weather permits, you can soak up the scenery and bask in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
After lunch, we’ll venture to Wood Bros Distillery for Gin School – the best kind of school. Greeted with a G&T, the brothers will take you through the secrets of their field to glass approach in a tour of their family-run distillery. You’ll be able to taste their range of single estate spirits before putting your knowledge to the test in the classroom!
Discover how to nose and select your own unique blend of botanicals – there are over 100 to choose from – before distilling them in miniature copper pot stills. At the end of the day, you’ll head back to Cheltenham with a 70cl bottle of your own gin, which you can name, give it a personalised label and even a wax top!
This experience includes:

- Entrance and tour of The Oxford Artisan Distillery (1 – 1.5hrs)
- A full tutored tasting of three to five spirits at each venue

We leave Cheltenham at 10:30 am, heading straight for The Oxford Artisan Distillery for a tour and tasting.
Following this, we’ll visit a pub in the Cotswolds for lunch. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available, please inform us upon booking.
Our final stop is Wood Brothers Distilling Co. You’ll receive a tour, tasting and Gin School Experience, where you’ll learn to make your own gin!
We aim to return to Cheltenham no later than 7pm.

- We advise that participants should be physically fit enough to be able to get on and off the minibus unaided and be comfortable walking/standing for at least 45 minutes. Where possible we’ll be seated for tastings.
- We regret that we do not have wheelchair accessibility on our vehicle.
- We can guarantee the quality of the spirits but unfortunately not the English weather! As we may spend some of the day outdoors, please review the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Appropriate footwear is essential.
- These experiences are sociable events, and can be attended as an individual, a couple, or in a group of family and friends.
