From black lava slopes to windswept terraces, volcanic islands are places where making wine is never exactly straightforward.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn this tasting, we’ll explore wines from islands where volcanic activity has played a huge role in shaping both the landscape and what ends up in the glass. We’ll focus on regions such as Santorini, Sicily, the Canary Islands, Madeira and beyond, looking at how volcanic soils, ocean breezes, altitude and challenging climates can create wines with amazing freshness, texture and mineral character.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe’ll taste grape varieties that are closely linked to their island homes, from the highly-regarded Assyrtiko of Santorini and Nerello Mascalese from Etna to the lesser-known Listán Blanco and Listán Negro of Tenerife. We have both high and low seating options, some more comfy than others, so please inform us if you have any special requirements.
