Mas de Daumas Gassac Moulin de Gassac Classic Red
Cranberry, cherry and plum and a light peppery spice.
Mas de Daumas Gassac is a leading star of the Languedoc. It was perhaps the first estate in the region to buck the trend for quantity over quality and started to make excellent wine in the 1970s when it was taken over by the larger than life Aimé Guibert. This wine is a blend of the classic grape varieties of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan. On both the nose and palate, cranberry, cherry and plum dominate coupled with a light peppery spice. An easy-drinking wine with a solid tannic backbone, this wine is great-value.
