Lyme Bay Chardonnay

Wine GB Gold Medal Winning Chardonnay.

Sourcing fruit from Essex, Devon’s Lyme Bay have produced this classy Chardonnay, which also sees some new branding from the winery.
Fermented in stainless steel, the wine then spent 11 months on lees in French oak barrels. It has crisp apples and toast on the nose, with ripe stone fruit flavours and slight nuttiness on the palate. Well-rounded and creamy, it’s a perfect partner to food.

Lyme Bay winery is located in the Axe valley in Devon and first opened 25 years ago! It produces some award winning English still and sparkling Wine, Fruit Wine, Cider, Mead, Liqueurs and Spirits. Each of these amazing products is fermented, blended and aged, as appropriate, at the Winery under the supervision of an experienced team.

Lyme bay source grapes from select growers across the country to make the best wines from the best grapes from the best growers. This also means they have acess to  different grape varieties that grow better on different soils and in different microclimates across the country and combine them to make exceptional full character still and sparkling wines.
