Hans Wirsching St Veit

Flowery, spritzy German white.

Franken, the furthest north-east of Germany's classic wine regions in the west of the country, is mostly famed for varieties other than Riesling. Here you'll find the delights of perfumed Silvaner and Scheurebe, which along with a bit of Riesling, make up this blend. Compared to Riesling, the acidity is lower, and therefore the sweetness doesn't need to be retained as balance. The result is an altogether more gentle wine, all tropical fruit and spritz. Very easy to drink.
