Casali Del Barone Barolo DOCG

Barolo runs the gamut from life-changing fine wine to 'not too expensive' special treat. This is towards the latter, and undoubtedly one of the best value Barolos we've ever come across. Yes, it's still about £30, but things can get scary, fast, in this part of Italy and while there's also a lot of cheaper Barolo in the supermarkets, they just doesn't taste of an awful lot, which is a shame for such a special region. Proper Sunday Roast material.
