Camel Valley Atlantic Dry

A blend of grapes, each with their own role in the story of English wine.

Camel Valley, from ex RAF pilot Bob Lindo, make this English blend from Bacchus, Chardonnay and Reichensteiner. The latter was one of the earlier grapes to be grown in England, welcomed for its ability to ripen well in cooler climates, while Bacchus has become one of the country's calling cards for quality still wines, and Chardonnay grown to great effect for use in Champagne beating sparkling wines. The resulting wine has hints of elderflower, grapefruit and greengage, and makes for a very fitting tribute to the grapes that have helped England to become a significant winemaking country.
