Blackbook The Mix Up Vol 3

The third edition of Blackbook’s white blend series.

Blackbook are making waves in the production of English wine with their urban winery in Battersea. Their aim is always to produce ‘bloody good wine’ that reflects the energy of London itself, using grapes sourced from growers within hours of the city.
Unlike Vol I and Vol II, this is a non-vintage white blend of the three classic Champagne varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – with each variety bringing something to the party. Luscious stone fruits, zesty acidity and fine red berries, this Mix Up has tantalising textures, as with all of Blackbook’s range, thanks to the 7-18 months on lees. We’re already excited for Vol IV…

The Story of Blackbook

The Story of Blackbook

Blackbook is the first solo project from winemaker, Sergio Verrillo, and his wife Lynsey.  They are both passionate Londoners who have long held the dream of starting an urban winery in London. The winery is located in a railway arch in Battersea, a stone's throw from Battersea Park in south London.

The grapes are sourced from growers within hours of the city, carefully selected for their well-located vineyards and high quality grapes. They endeavour to bring the hard work of our vineyard owners to the forefront by creating a range of single vineyard wines that showcase the quality and potential for making world-leading still wine here in England.
